christmas, new year, and pre-Vday all in one

ever since the excitement and stress of the board exams wore off, i've been busy going here and there. nanay arrived in manila to visit her relatives and spent christmas in cavite. i had a chance to meet queen at shangri-la mall before going to antipolo to spend christmas with tita tina and her family. i wasn't able to enjoy it much coz i was sick. i had on and off episodes of fever. i even slept through noche buena even though they did try to wake me up. i was dozing off.

i finally got to listen to Tu-Yu's song 'zutto soba ni iru yo'. the pv is cute, massu makes it all worthwhile with his bright smiles :D

nanay and i flew to bacolod on the 28th and the whole janeo family was at the airport, seeing niko, jepoy, and karlo's goofy faces. everybody else was in the rented jeep, my cousins mae and peb2x, tita mayette who was home from singapore, tita evy, and tito mon. the scarf that nanay lent me to wear earlier at the airport was passed around. well, it was a cute scarf :P

the next day, papa and tita arrived in bacolod from toboso. they brought che2x with them too. we met with them and tita tata's family at robinson's and proceeded at tita dayen's for dinner. tita inday's family arrived too. it was like an impromptu gathering. after catching up with the latest in everyone's lives, i made my way to the computer where the little kids were playing some word games. soon enough, i was getting hooked too.

i finally had my hair dyed brown, since the first attempt in manila didn't have any effect at all. i also painted my nails in dark wine hue. i vowed to myself that as soon as i'm finished with the board exams and all, i'd start experimenting on my looks. and i love my new hair color! it felt nice to do something i wouldn't usually do.

i met the new year in the same fashion as i did on christmas day. i slept through it. i was still sick and didn't manage to get up when the new year came. i stayed over at mae's for a night before heading to our cousins in granada. unfortunately the dajao's weren't there so karlo and i ended up visiting lola lourdes (our paternal grandmother), taking a nap at her little new hut after eating leftovers from the new year's eve party. we went back a few days after, and stayed over at tita tata's for the night, with the dajao's this time.

the next day we watched the first two episodes of hannah montana (jenny's favorite), and 'ballet shoes' starring emma watson. she's really getting prettier as she grows. the movie was really nice!

irene and i have talked about going to japan later this year, preferably in time for NEWS' winter con tour. but i have to scrape 250 thousand pesos to be able to do that. where on earth am i getting that amount? -_- i really wanna go~

i'm sure most of you have heard the song 'last christmas' by wham. in the wake of jilting someone i remembered that song. yes, it was christmas and i broke someone's heart. it wasn't my fault. we were so 3 years ago, and i didn't expect him to still be hanging on. i would've thought he would get the message when i suddenly just didn't see him anymore. guys can really be dumb sometimes, and here i am assuming they'd be smart enough to get it. i am sorry, for letting 3 years pass before i decided to let him go (according to him). i hope he gets over me fast and move on with his life.

didn't i say i'm not cut out for relationships? that i won't settle for anything less? not when my heart's not in it 100%? so there, i am single by choice!

something good came out of going with tita mayette to leah's clinic. i found out joy (one of my high school bestfriends) was in bacolod. we haven't seen each other for 2 years. i had missed her terribly! naturally, we were eager to catch up on each other's lives. her kids twins ryu and rei, were now 2 and a half years old and very active. i also found out in the same night i slept over at their house (coz joy won't let me go home*acck*) that her sister bhem married a japanese too! i was shocked.

i told her about my plans to go to japan later this year, even jokingly asked if i could stay at their place in nagano (so i won't spend on hotels). and she said yes! i am not about to take back my request. it's a little sacrifice (nagano is far from tokyo, 3 hrs by car, or was it by train?), but i don't mind as long as i have a free place to stay :P

i asked joy and bhem to give me japanese lessons so i could at least say something tegoshi/NEWS would understand when i go to their concert (i mean i wish i could, hehe) but they teached me stuff like 'atashi to kimi yaritai' and 'hoteru ikou' *flails* DAME YO~

i wonder if wanting to go to japan to watch some boyband in concert sound really foolish. seems like it from people's reactions when i tell them it's part of my list of things to do in the future. is it really being childish of me? sometimes it makes me sad that people might think i'm immature. i'm very capable of acting my age as well. it's just that i chose not to. this is what makes me happy, spazzing over cute guys who sing in a different language. what is so wrong with that? maa, whatever. i'm an alien anyways. i even look like one :P

i saw tita mayette off the airport. she was finally going back to singapore and i just felt like i had to see her off. she had been a very nice aunt to me, and it's the least i could do. joy was nice enough to offer taking us to the airport which was now in silay (a litle further away compared to the old airport). i almost cried but held back. damn, i'm born too emotional.

new additions to the 'nakushita kioku' cast: kiritani mirei. i thought she'd probably take the role of winnie. i liked her since 'hana kimi' and wouldn't mind at all if she plays winnie. i find her really pretty. but kylee got the role of winnie. she's so young! she's a singer. honestly, i didn't know anything about her before this. well, at least she's cute and she doesn't get on my nerves :P

ok, i have to admit. edward cullen in the book is waaaaaaay better than in the movie. i think i fell for him for a while XD now i'm reading 'new moon' but i got stuck (bcoz of this and that). things in the real world kept me busy.

i had a little reunion with my high school bestfriends (just me, joy, and jessy). jessy now works as a teacher at a local public high school. and she's getting married this august. that leaves me and marilou (whom i haven't seen in years!) the only single ones left. somehow i feel pressured when i shouldn't. it was so nice hanging out with them again, just like how we used to back then. but of course it's different now with joy married and jessy engaged. we had coffee at bo's, talking mostly about joy, how she ended up being married, etc. strolling, joy and i ended up singing utada hikaru's first love. she knows a lot of japanese songs (duh?) but nothing from JE :( i still want her to teach me anyways.

we ended up at the karaoke corner of the mall. i got perfect score for the very first time! i think we kicked major ass coz we were one of the singers back in high school. i miss hearing them sing. jessy made us promise to come to her wedding and joy made us swear on our pinkies, which was quite amusing since it's something teenage girls would do, not adult women XDD but it gave me a warm feeling, just being with them. i wished that night wouldn't come to an end. but of course it did. we had to go back to our individual lives, jessy with her work, and joy with her kids.

i found a lonely planet japanese phrasebook at the sm branch of the national bookstore! i had a korean phrasebook which i bought back in hongkong. i'm so gonna buy it before someone beats me to it.

i went back to manila for the oathtaking. nezie and i tried our luck with commuting. we didn't have that much luggage anyways and we are both stingy, hehe. i stayed at may anne's place (which was across my old dorm). i figured it was preferable than having to stay all the way in antipolo. the oathtaking was held at the manila hotel. nothing exciting happened. we said our vows, then went home. we didn't feel up for celebrating, haha. we must seem so boring.

i spent the night at antipolo again. i was surprised that ryn2x still likes yamada and massu. she even had print outs of massu and tegoshi. i did too! but i left the pics at may anne's. i didn't think the need to show them off would come, hehe. but yeah, she totally digs massu! and because of her i was on HSJ-mode for a while (mainly daiki, but still i've spent time on them i normally wouldn't unless i really like a certain group) from dling all their pvs so i could show them to her. i swear i almost completely fell for it. but it was short-lived as well. but i still like daiki a lot. and i still have their pvs on my phone :P

i finally went to have okonomiyaki at little tokyo with irene!!! it was really delicious, even though i was struggling with the chopsticks XD while waiting for the food, we busied ourselves by inspecting the restaurant's interior, filled with tiger beer bottles, and a japanese lantern, some souvenir items by a famous japanese baseball team like baseballs and little figures of baseball players. the tv was also showing random japanese shows, and we kept seeing nakai (of smap) everywhere! and even saw maki in one of the shows! so pretty~ it took me forever to finish with my okonomiyaki, maybe bcoz i was talking in between mouthfuls.

after that we decided to just go around, checking out japanese grocery stores, looking for stuff that NEWS endorsed. and we did! we found P's weider in jelly and mow, massu's tu-yu noodles (which i just found out is a maru-chan brand. i love the cup noodles!). we settled for shakes at sango's to try out the mow ice cream. i felt so bloated after, having consumed ice cream and shake. we planned on a sleepover at irene's in dasma but it didn't happen. honestly, until now i still didn't know why. i don't want to be too nosy and ask irene what happened that day. maybe she was just busy with school.

then i was back in cebu. i finally watched 'ryusei no kizuna'. ryo was so adorable as taisuke, cosplaying and all. nino was cute/funny, weird at times, but i have to agree when people say he's a really good actor. and erika too! i love her acting. plus kaname jun and nakashima mika were in it too!

finally had time to catch up on dling tego's parts in itteQ. the thailand episode was funny, plus i had the chance to see tego taking a bath XDD the summertime pv part was hilarious, mainly bcoz the two other men were protesting, haha~ but he's so cool it's almost funny. and LOL at that episode where imoto brought tegoshi's pic to a sybil XDD good thing tego's a good sport.

it seems like during the time i was away, vie has caught the kpop bug. soon enough she was spazzing over suju boys on lj. it somehow makes me feel lonely, imagining her going off to gush over guys i have left for NEWS. i'm trying to be rational here, but i still can't fight my selfish feelings. it's like having someone close to you get snatched away, feeling them slipping away. it kinda hurts, to know that we are not in the same place, may not be sharing the same interests and feelings on things anymore. i had been so used to talking to her and then this happens. i dunno what to think or feel exactly. i guess this is what i get for always letting people get too close to me. it makes me too vulnerable that even things that might mean nothing at all could affect me in a great way. i just wish i would get over this feeling, the sooner the better.

and so i have been having a hard time updating my fics. i'm too depressed to actually get a move on, even though i wanted to update so bad. i actually started on that yamapi het fic but my parents arrived so i had to stop -_-

the charger for my motorola v3i phone seems to be broken. had no choice but to use the other phone temporarily, until i get a new charger (or at least i hope it's the charger that's not working and not the battery itself).

i met with genette a few days ago. i gave her the refund for the dorm. and i conveniently forgot to bring the reviewers so we have to meet again. we have talked about planning to work in manila. i'm relieved. at least i now have someone to live with when i do finally decide to work in manila. but she has yet to pass the board exams. in the meantime, i'm planning to work here in cebu for experience. it better than not doing anything. besides, i have to earn. i have goals to reach, and all of them involve money.

my friends are also teasing me to join the next pinoy dream academy or philippine idol auditions LOL i dunno if they're serious or not. but i might just consider...XD

tegoshi was recently in wisconsin (why not the philippines??? -_-) for another episode of itteQ.
