thankful
today marked my last day of taking my medication for gastroenteritis which struck me last tuesday, on the day when i was scheduled to fly back to manila nonetheless. so naturally, i wasn't able to go and was forced to extend my stay, this time not for vacation purposes anymore. let me tell you it was NASTY!!! it was the most terrible feeling ever. i couldn't imagine how i endured the first 3 days of diarrhea before i finally succumbed to the medication. i think that over the course of 3 days i had almost a total of 30 trips to the bathroom. it came to a point that i thought it was the end of me and in the midst of agony i was saying my goodbyes to everyone and thanking god for the life he gave me (w/c made my dad laugh when the story was related to him by my aunt) of all the days, it had to happen to me at this period of time? -_-
now i feel like i don't have enough time to study since i didn't do any reading the whole time i was here in cebu. i feel anxious now and in a bit of panic. i wanted to go back to manila as soon as possible. even though i still feel weak right now and i still go to occasional trips to the bathroom. i have also been dizzy brought about by the drug's side effects (w/c also alarmed me days before when i started salivating too much and being my paranoid self and overthinking everything). only later did i realize that i only developed a dislike of the drug, so much that my body started manifesting signs too. that was taken cared of (or rather i had to grit my teeth and live with the awful taste of my saliva the whole time).
although now i am feeling a little better, it still worries me that i would wake up sometime in the night or early morning and feel myself a little hot. i hope it's not something serious bcoz i can't handle another disease right now. the last one almost killed me. at least that's how it felt like. but i'm not dead and i'm thankful. thank you lord for still keeping me alive! i know i don't show my appreciation often but i am hella glad to find myself still breathing and waking up in the morning.
i don't think i'll ever be the same again. i think i have developed a dislike of eating fatty oily food, pork, or just merely don't have an appetite anymore. at the time when i was sick, eating was a sort of necessity, not something i wanted to do, but had to do. and even now that i feel almost okay, i still don't feel like eating much, but had to. i can't afford to starve myself and deal with hyperacidity or worse ulcer. i guess the time has come for me to ditch my days of gluttony and stop being such a food lover. wah. and i learned how to never say never. bcoz i used to say that i'll probably never lose weight. but then this happened and now i think it's a possibility. i think that's a tad bit cruel way of making me stop and watch my diet, don't you think?
so, you out there! i suggest you be extra careful with what you eat. make sure it's clean coz you can never be too safe. my dad told me he had similar cases from eating at a fastfood, so yikes. we really are not safe anywhere. makes me wanna stop eating entirely, seriously! once you had gastroenteritis, you kind of develop a phobia. and once you had it, it never leaves you. it waits until you make the same mistake again and it'll strike again. now tell me that doesn't make you wanna stop eating. it made me appreciate how well my body functions for me before this whole thing happened. only when something wrong happens do you realize that and i'm thankful that what happened to me wasn't something irreversible. my stomach has become sensitive after. i don't want it getting uncomfortable or heavy or taking in too much food. nowadays, i just want to take in light food. god forbid i turn vegetarian!!!
but despite all that i still managed to join tegoshi's birthday project. w/c is so weird coz i rarely do this kind of stuff. my fangirling has boundaries and it doesn't usually include me joining birthday projects or parties or what-have-yous. i didn't know why i did it this time. i guess i was feeling a little bit cynical at the time and wanted to do something i don't normally do, if it's the last thing i do on earth before i die (yeah, i really felt like i was dying at that time, so :P) i took a picture of myself doing the 'tegoshi desu!' pose. i would've written a personal message too but the one i did never turned out clear enough for my liking and i wasn't in the mood to make use of the scanner. so i ended up submitting just my picture. i almost failed to mention how i was wearing the ugliest shirt (well, i was feeling weak and sick and i wasn't up for changing into fancier clothes LOL i really have zero for effort, huh? hiding behind the excuse of being sick XD)
i hope it reaches him though. the NEWS concert tour might have started at this time now. so they'll be pretty busy. i wonder when exactly it will reach him (or if it will even actually reach him, if kei's mother will be kind enough to accept it, if the girl in charge will have no problems and get to japan and into kei's mom's ramen shop). i wonder if he'll mention it on one of his interviews or kei's radioshow. my mind will be buzzing with anticipation.
news of leah dizon getting married and being 4 months on the fanily way shocked me when irene texted me. that was so out of the blue. who would've thought? the first thing we thought about was how ryo must've felt. he must've been crushed, right? good thing he still has tegonyan ne XD as for leah, i dunno whether i should feel disappointed (bcoz she was so young and she's got things going for her) or surprisingly relieved (that maybe, just maybe ryo will stop fanboying about her and move to other girls, or better yet just focus on tegonyan :P) or mad that she has practically thrown her career away. i mean it's as good as dead, right? once you get married your popularity goes down bcoz your single image is now no more and people might not admit it but they are possessive like that. or maybe she could still make it. who knows?
back to babbling about my last day of medication. i wanted to tell you how i spent it. reading one of the longest and most depressing fics i have ever read in my life. conversations between us. i finally decided to finish reading it. i told myself i won't rest until i'm done with it. it was a way to take my mind off my yucky meds. so i spend the WHOLE day and half the day before that reading the 2nd half of the fic (coz i had it cut to 4 parts to fit into my phone). OMG now i am depressed. why why whyyyyyyyyyy? and i thought i wouldn't cry bcoz i have stopped being a crybaby from reading stories but there i was crying nonetheless when it ended. tragic. gah, i hate sad endings. it kinda makes me think about how scary being inlove is, how you put yourself out there, vulnerable to all the kinds of pain that it can bring. i don't wanna be inlove if i had to end up like may. i don't think i can take that kind of blow. this will torture me for the next few days. GAAAAAAAAAH T.T
