fried ipod nano, anyone? what would you feel if you go home and found your beloved mp3 player burned inside out? and when this happens to someone who almost eats, drinks, breathes, sleeps with her ipod attached to her ears, i think you'd have an idea of what i'm feeling right now. plus, this has to happen just 2 days before i'm scheduled to fly to manila (meaning no more chances to update my computer, no dling stuff, no watching doramas till wee hours). i feel so down right now. some of you might think i'm overreacting but that's how i'm feeling. it's like someone ripped my heart out and i'm left with a hole in my chest. when i first noticed my ipod's poor state sitting there on the dock, my heart felt like it dropped to the floor =_=
it's that stupid blackout's fault. and my stupidity i think (although i still refuse to admit it. since i've done it so many times before and nothing bad happened). so it's still the stupid blackout's fault. i feel like cursing those guys from veco grrrrr
now i'm forced to go out tomorrow to buy myself a cheap mp3 player (for temporary use, until i get myself a new ipod nano, to not render the dock useless, and bcoz course ipod still is the best for me) but the cheaper mp3 player has to do, at least for the 5 months i'm going to stay in manila for the board exams. GAH, why does this have to happen right now, when i have a pile of things to worry about, when i'm so close to saturday, thus prone to panicking, last minute errands, neverending packing suitcases??? =_=
and if that's not enough, i still am depressed at how i can't make my defense on time. i guess it's no one's fault but mine. i know. i should've gone earlier, if only i could turn back time, i'll really do it properly *sigh* but i don't wanna dwell on things that let me down. it's not gonna change anyways, whether i sulk or not, so why choose the negative, right? it's now more than ever that i have to live up to my sign, being optimistic and all, as they say.
it's also the reason why i refuse to cry over my ipod's death (and it's not even bcoz i don't feel like bawling my eyes out. weirdly, the tears won't come, although i did wail for a few minutes after i got over the initial shock of seeing it burned and opened, murdered), but i can't say yet, since i feel like i'm gonna cry any time now. gah, this is so tragic for me.
R.I.P. MY IPOD NANO. thanks for making me happy for almost 3 years. i'm sorry i wasn't able to take care of you better. mama, i'm sorry too. i know you worked hard so i can have one (again, after my ipod shuffle got stolen) T.T
and while we're on the subject, i've seen/heard too many animal deaths lately. a few weeks ago, i was waiting for the jeep i was on to get going. then, just as it was going this puppy suddenly crossed the street. BAM! the next thing i saw was the puppy lying motionless on the street after the jeep ran it over. and no one else in that jeep even noticed it. i was the only one who saw the whole thing -_- i just hope that the puppy only suffered minor injuries.
then another bad news came. my cousin in bacolod told me that lyka (the dachshund we both love so much) died due to hard labor (it was just her first pregnancy, why???). a few days after her puppies followed her to dog-heaven. and i was so excited to see them, and their mommy but now they're all gone TT_TT my cousin told me she cried the first few nights after it happened. i understand coz they really love lyka, she even lets it sleep on their bed. waaaaaaaaaaah no more lyka to greet me and follow me everywhere whenever i come to their house in libertad.
that's not all. a month ago, i mentioned that our cat gwen, here in cebu had 2 kittens. well, a week ago, i heard from my cousins (who live just two houses from us) that the kittens were killed by the neighbor's dogs. aaaaaaaaaaargh!!! no wonder i haven't seen them for days. just when they we're getting bigger, and more playful =_=
also, my portable dvd player seems to be broken. i guess it got exhausted from my aunt watching too much movies. in the end it gave up and won't play anything at all. it's overworked yo~ my aunt should buy me a new one (w/c would not likely happen since she doesn't even feel like it's her fault) next time, i'm not lending any of my stuff!
why does it seem like things aren't turning out the way i hoped they would? i feel a lot like being punished, like everything that's been happening the past days are telling me one thing, that i don't deserve to go to manila, despite all my efforts. my defense is still pending, but i have no choice but leave on saturday bcoz i ran out of alibis and my dad would start suspecting if i postponed my flight again. and i can't even get thru to the UE dental review department so i could plead to be taken in the first batch of reviews. i still had to call them again tomorrow (preferably, as soon as they open). i swear if this doesn't go well too, i don't know what i'm gonna do with myself. i think this is reason enough to be suicidal. how much more can a person take, honestly? is this the price i have to pay for wanting to be happy? is it wrong to be happy, is it too much, that i have to suffer in return?
